Week of November 1
From the PTA President...

Welcome to November and goodbye Daylight Saving’s Time!

Did you remember to set your clocks back last night? Fortunately, most of our high-tech gadgets all set themselves these days, but don’t let the microwave or the oven clock confuse you!

Have you registered to attend the PTA meeting on Thursday, November 12, via Zoom, at 7pm? Please use the Google Form. Dr. Tracy Scholz, the director of the SBISD Advanced Academic Department, will make a presentation on changes that are coming for Pre-AP classes in the district.

It’s not too late to enter the REFLECTIONS contest! All entries are due TOMORROW, Nov 2nd, to Mrs. Pena. Reflections is a national PTA program to encourage students to develop their artistic side. This year’s theme is “ I Matter Because.” The flier below has more info, and we are happy to answer any questions you have. This is a great way to showcase your creative artistic side!

Thank you to our Sister School Chairs, Sa Nguyen and Annette Willburn. They delivered Boo Bags to every staff member at our adopted sister schools, Academy of Choice and DAEP. Because they do not have PTAs, these two schools would get overlooked if it weren’t for your generous donations and Sa & Annette’s dedication to caring for and encouraging the hardworking staff. Additionally, I have heard from several CSA teachers about how they loved the Boo Bags this month. Thank you for being so generous to our teachers!

It’s not too late to serve on the Birthday Bash committee! The next meeting is Nov. 18th.
VIRTUAL LEARNING DAY – Tuesday, Nov. 3rd

All SBISD students will learn from home. Look for more information with Zoom links from your child’s teachers.
7th Grade Parents,

Cotillion registration for CSA opens at 10 am on November 12. In past years it always fills up very quickly and there is a wait list. Please see below for more information and contact Annette Willburn at [email protected] If you have any questions.

Please contact [email protected] or click on the link in the image to volunteer.

Our chairs Carrie McCluskey and Nicole Stone would love for as many people as possible to help them pull off this amazing event. It is our largest fundraiser of the year, and it really is a fantastic event for our CSA families!

Please join us at our next meeting on Nov. 18th via zoom.

All the information regarding how your purchases can give back to CSA is on the PTA Website. Check it out!

Spring Branch Education Foundation (SBEF) believes in student success. As the nonprofit organization that partners with Spring Branch ISD, we fund programs that enrich education for students across the district. Led by a volunteer board of community leaders, we raise funds through donations and community events. Thanks to a generous community, we give scholarships to a growing number of seniors each year, and we award grants for mentoring programs, classroom libraries, technology and much more.

Our board and volunteers believe in quality, public education for EVERY child; and we believe strong schools build strong communities.

Organized in 1993, we now routinely donate more than $1 million each year to the district. You can help. Together, we are Making Our Schools Better.

We have several CSA parents who are involved in the SBEF leadership, and our SBEF PTA Liaison is Jeannie Greiner. You can contact her with questions at [email protected].
