Week of December 6
From the PTA President...

I have enjoyed the cooler weather this week and am getting into the holiday spirit! Can you believe it’s already December? I’m hoping that your family is able to enjoy this “wonderful time of the year” despite all the added busyness (and added stress of Covid).

Please read below for information on how you can help show appreciation to our CSA teachers and staff or help families in need at our two sister schools.

Are you or your kids counting down the days until the holiday break? (FYI… there are only 10!)

One last thing, please send a note of encouragement or thanks or a small gift to your adopted teacher between now and December 18. All teachers and staff have favorites’ pages on the PTA website. Thanks!

Printed school directories were sent home before Thanksgiving. If you did not receive yours and think you ordered one, first, check your child’s backpack. If it isn’t there, email our chairs at directorycsa@gmail.com. We have extras for sale if you didn’t order one back in September and would like one.
Annette Willburn and Sa Nguyen graciously head up our Sister Schools committee and work diligently with AOC and DAEP to provide encouragement and meet a variety of needs. Each December, the CSA PTA adopts families that need extra help this time of year. If you would like additional information on how your family can help sponsor a family in need this holiday season, please contact Annette at amesur2002@yahoo.com, or Sa at 310smn@gmail.com.

The new signs (below) are now officially up! Since visitors are not allowed in the building, we wanted everyone to get a glimpse! Thank you to all the families who donated to our Underwriting campaign and earned the right to name an area in and around campus. A huge thank you to Mr. Burger and Ashley Michels for getting the signs organized and for hanging the corporate sponsor banner in the carpool drive as well!

Staff Appreciation

The PTA Staff Appreciation Committee is busy planning an end of the year holiday lunch with gifts for our fantastic teachers and staff!  Every year, the PTA gives $25 gift cards to each staff member. Our goal is to collect 55 gift cards from Target, HEB or Amazon (those seem to be the most popular store). If there is another store that is easier for you, we will gladly accept it!!

This is not mandatory, and we understand that some of you may not be in a position to give or may have other plans for giving. That is OK!  But if you are able to contribute, please sign up here. Please drop off your gift card at the CSA front office in an envelope marked "ATTN: Anne Marie Hill/ CSA Staff Appreciation" by
December 9.  Thank you for your support. You make our teachers/staff feel very appreciated!

P.S. This can absolutely be in place of a holiday gift that you may have been planning for your adopted staff.

Birthday Bash Committee Meeting

Registration information will be sent next week.

Our chairs, Carrie McCluskey and Nicole Stone, would love for as many people as possible to help them pull off this amazing event. It is our largest fundraiser of the year, and it really is a fantastic event for our CSA families!
