Senator Becker presents $1.5 million check to CSA
On December 8th, CSA was honored to welcome Senator Josh Becker, who presented a $1.5 million check for our building fund from the state of California. Los Altos Hills Mayor Linda Swan, Mountain View Mayor Alison Hicks, and Councilmembers Lucas Ramirez and Emily Ann Ramos, were also in attendance to show their support.
“The programs that CSA of Mountain View, Los Altos and Los Altos Hills provides are even more important as we have seen job cuts in many industries - particularly across the high tech sector on which so many Silicon Valley families rely,” said Senator Becker. “Knowing that needs within our community continue to grow, CSA knew they needed to expand access to their programs and I am so proud to be able to support them in these efforts. With the support of my legislative colleagues and Governor Newsom, we were able to secure $1.5 million in this year’s budget for renovations at this site and assist in the acquisition of an additional site for CSA’s Food and Nutrition Center.”
This significant contribution will not only enhance our current facilities, but also expand our Food and Nutrition Center, allowing us to better serve our community’s increasing need. Senator Becker’s visit and the support of local leaders underscore the importance of collaborative efforts when facing the challenges of our most vulnerable community members.
