RSVP FOR ANNUAL PARENT MEETING

Attention parents/guardians of students in grades 7-11: CSArts-SGV’s Annual Parent Meetings for the 2024-2025 school year have been scheduled for May. At this mandatory meeting, school leadership and conservatory directors will provide an overview of schoolwide and conservatory-specific programmatic and budget goals for next school year, as well as share how to support your student’s arts conservatory experience at CSArts-SGV through the Conservatory Funding Agreement (CFA) and program advertising. 

The Annual Parent Meeting for returning families will be held twice, once at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8 and again at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 20. Please click here to RSVP at your earliest convenience for one of the meetings, which will be held in person on the CSArts-SGV campus. Please remember that at least one parent/guardian from each family is required to attend this meeting once per school year as a part of the annual enrollment process.

2024-2025 SCHOOL CALENDAR

Please note these Board-approved important dates for the 2024-2025 high school year:

• On-Campus High School Registration: Tuesday, August 6, 2024 – Wednesday, August 7, 2024 (more details to come this summer)
• First Day of High School Academic and Conservatory Instruction: Monday, August 12, 2024
• Winter Break: Monday, December 23, 2024 – Tuesday, January 7, 2025
• Please note: Friday, December 20, 2024 is an Academic Teacher Grading Day and Wednesday, January 8, 2025 is an Academic Teacher Professional Development Day (both days are student-free days)
• First Day of Conservatory Instruction – Spring Semester: Tuesday, January 21, 2025
• Spring Break: Monday, April 7, 2025 – Friday, April 11, 2025
• Last Day of Conservatory Instruction: Thursday, May 8, 2025
• Last Day of High School Academic Instruction: Thursday, June 5, 2025

STUDENT DESIGN CONTEST VOTING TODAY

Thank you to all who submitted designs for the Student Design Contest! All of the submissions were incredible, and it was so difficult to choose the final designs for our CSArts-SGV community to vote on. That being said, the time has finally come to vote for your favorite student design to be featured on an apparel item in an upcoming schoolwide sale! Voting will take place TODAY, Friday, March 22, on the @CSArtsSGV Instagram Story. Click here or on the image below to cast your vote before the Story expires!

IMPORTANT ATTENDANCE UPDATES

Unreported Absences

Attention parents/guardians: As a reminder, TODAY, Friday, March 22, is the deadline for all unreported absences and truancies from the second semester to be cleared with the Attendance Office. Please review your student’s attendance record on the Aeries parent portal and reach out to attendance@sgv.csarts.net to report the details for any absence marked A (absent), Z (truant), or G (partial day truancy).

Early Release Process

To aid in the early release process, the Attendance Office will no longer be delivering early release slips to students in class. Instead, if a student needs to leave school early, they must come and pick up their early release slip during one of their school breaks – Nutrition, Lunch, or Office Hours. Then, when they reach the time of their early release, they can show the slip to their teacher in order to be dismissed.

MARCH SENIOR BULLETIN

Class of 2024 families: Please take some time to review the March Senior Bulletin, which includes important information for students and parents/guardians about Senior Week, auditions for the graduation ceremony, and graduation parking information. All bulletins are also posted to the CSArts-SGV Senior Page.

STATE OF THE ART

Let us celebrate YOU! Submit your off-campus successes to be featured in State of the Art, CSArts-SGV’s special webpage spotlighting the accomplishments of our students, alumni, faculty, and staff. You can submit your accomplishments and successes here. We can’t wait to see all the exciting things you have been up to!

All accomplishments are posted at the conclusion of the semester in which they are submitted. Once the Spring 2024 State of the Art is available for viewing, we will send out an email with the direct link. Past State of the Art accomplishments are always available to view at www.sgv.csarts.net/Accomplishments.
