Greetings all,

Many of you have been checking on our website as our recertification deadline draws near. I suspect you haven't been satisfied with the result.

Development of our website has been delayed by a combination of the complexity of our needs as well as the loss of the initial project manager with whom we were working.

On Saturday, June 22nd, we had a conference call with the current project manager of the web designer, CSCP office manager, CSCP secretary/registrar and myself to discuss the imminent launch of the members portal which will allow you to pay dues, confirm cases, and log CEU credits along with apply for the CSCP certification exam this year.  

Today, the feeling is that there are still some logic mistakes which will contribute to membership frustration if we launch the website in it's current format.

The takeaway message is that the recertification deadline will be moved back to a later date to allow adequate testing of the new members portal. We have no firm date in mind, but I believe sometime in August may be realistic. For any members whose hospitals require proof of certification, please ask them to email the National office for confirmation.

The National Office will send out an eblast when we are ready to accept recertification and dues payments from our members. As well, individuals planning to challenge the CSCP certification exam in October will be informed that the deadline to submit their information will also be extended. That deadline is yet to be determined so please relay this information on to any of your colleagues planning to challenge this year's exam.

I thank everyone for their patience as the website nears completion. Everyone involved has been working diligently on the project and I thank them for their efforts as well.
