Spring Meeting Update

Between May 25-28, 2023, the CSCS (Canadian Society of Cardiac Surgeons) and CSCP (Canadian Society of Clinical Perfusion) co-hosted the CSCS CSCP Spring Meeting 2023 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

With over 200 registrants from across the country, the meeting was incredibly successful. Surgeons, perfusionists, cardiac anesthesiologists, allied health care professionals, trainees and representatives from industry came together and delivered a world class program at a world class venue. We were honoured to have Dr. Vinay Badhwar and Dr. Jennifer Lawton as our guest plenary speakers, with Dr. Jennifer Lawton serving as our 2nd Annual Women in Cardiac Surgery Dinner keynote speaker as well. Add to that a spirited Resident Research Abstract competition (congratulations Dr. Rachel Eikelboom, Dr. Amy Brown and Dr. Abigail White), our 2nd Annual Cardiac Surgery Job Fair and a Harbour Cruise with the beautiful Halifax skyline in the background, it is safe to say that the meeting couldn’t have gone any better.

Thank you to all of our speakers, moderators, attendees and last but not least, our supporters from industry. We are already planning next year’s meeting and cannot wait to see you there.
