SWING SWAP ~ THURSDAYS!
Our weekly Thursday Swing Swap continues to grow in popularity and attendance. With great tunes to have you groovin;, a boomin' sound system and hardwood to get your spin on, the MAC (Municipal Arts Center) is the place to be on Thursday evenings, 7-8:30 pm! Come on out and practice, swap ideas and moves, or just dance. We're beginner friendly and practice friendly! Admission is a suggested donation of $3-$5 (cash/check only). Location: 1119 5th St. SW (across 5th Street from Wegman's).

Our next dance is Saturday, May 20th and we are at the Ivy Creek United Methodist Church. Viko Hernandez + Allison Atteberry return to be our lesson instructors and DJs this month!

Advanced/online sign up is greatly appreciated, through 12 noon ET the day of the dance. Create an account to manage your membership (optional) and sign up for CSDS events!
In the event of inclement weather and there is a schedule change or cancellation, we will make a post on our public Facebook page (you don't have to have an account) by 2 pm ET the day of the dance.

CSDS Membership
CSDS offers an $15 annual membership fee. Membership dues help to support CSDS and is completely optional for attending our events. Members do get to enjoy discounts to CSDS dances. To become a member or to renew your membership, please visit the CSDS website or take care of this in person at a CSDS dance. If you have any questions regarding the status of your membership, please contact CSDS.

Male Dancer Needed
The Charlottesville Opera will produce Guys and Dolls at the Paramount Theatre in late June. They need a male dancer for several scenes. Rehearsals begin June 5th. If you are interested or know of someone who might be, please contact Casey Turner at catherine@themovementbarn.com.
Volunteers Needed
As you know, CSDS is a volunteer run organization and it takes volunteers to put on our monthly dances and Swing Swap. We could use your help occasionally with setting up and taking down our dance venues, greeting dances at our registration desk and handling refreshments. If you would like to join our volunteer team, please contact any one of our Board members. Thanks!

Please join us in extending a big "thank you" to Leigh Gordon who has stepped down as a Board of Director. We greatly appreciate your enthusiasm, support and service to the club and community over the past 2.5 years! We now have several Director positions open and encourage anyone who is interested in giving back to the club to contact us. You can suggest someone and/or nominate yourself!
