Happy New Year! CSDS looks forward to another year of great dancing, friendship and community in the Charlottesville-Central VA area and we greatly appreciate your attendance and support. We're starting off the New Year with our January 19th dance and the return of Raleigh pro
Robin Smith who will be our Instructor and DJ. We also move back to the
Ivy Creek United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall for the next several months. Robin will teach the pre-dance lesson (7-8 pm, included in your Admission), Beginner West Coast Swing, and then he'll be our DJ for the evening, 8-11 pm, with our Westie Power Hour, all WCS music, from 10-11 pm.

FOOTWEAR: please wear either dance shoes or light-colored soles; whatever you wear must be non-marking.
INCLEMENT WEATHER/CANCELLATION POLICY:
In the event of inclement weather, check the CSDS website and public Facebook page for updates starting Friday, Jan. 18th. The safety of our dancers, who come from a wide geographic area, is our priority.

Thanks everyone for coming to our Holiday Dinner-Dance! What a nice turnout! Special thanks to Kristin Wenger for being our lesson instructor and DJ and to Kristin, Maria and Emma for hosting the after dance Going Away Party for Cal Biesecker who moves to MO soon! We will miss you greatly, Cal, but are thrilled you and Joanne will be together! <3

Adela is often the Table/Group Dinner Organizer for events attended by Charlottesville Westies ~ if you're planning to go to any of these or other events, let her know! And reserve your hotel room ASAP as the event hotels usually sell out well in advance; you can always cancel it later. Don't wait until you decide to go to book your room; it will be too late!
Gaia Read often organizes roadtrips from Charlottesville for the DC/MD/NoVA dances/events; contact her if you're interested in carpooling sometime.
