~ Saturday, July 20th ~
CSDS holds our next dance on Saturday, July 20th at the Municipal Arts Center with Eddie + Adela as our lesson instructors and deejays for the evening! Eddie and Adela have been a teaching couple in Charlottesville and Central VA since 2006, offering pre-dance lessons, group classes, workshops and private lessons, with a fondness for technique/drills instruction (they host a monthly Sunday afternoon Drills Class).
For those who are interested, we are having another Potluck Tailgate in the parking lot from 6-7 pm; bring a lawn chair and something to share if you can and CSDS will provide tableware and beverages. Rain cancels! We will send out an email by 2 pm that day to confirm/cancel.
6:00 - 7:00 pm: Potluck Tailgate (rain cancels)
7:00 - 8:00 pm: Lesson (inc. in admission)
West Coast Swing Fancy Footwork (should know basics)
8:00 - 11:00 pm: Dance

FOOTWEAR: please wear either dance shoes or light-colored soles; whatever you wear must be non-marking!

June Dance Recap
Potluck Tailgaters
Lesson time!
Routine Dancers!!
What a great time we had at the June dance! Perfect weather for our Potluck Tailgate in the parking lot, thanks everyone for coming and for the food you brought. Kristin taught a fun lesson, played some great music and then she and her students performed the routine they learned in her Spring choreography class ~ congrats to all, you did such an amazing job!! We also had some out of town dancers who came to play with us ~ thank you for making the trip and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

HELPERS WANTED!
Would you enjoy free admission to a CSDS dance? CSDS is a non-profit organization and is 100% run by volunteers. It "takes a village" to host a dance. Volunteer Coordinator
Kristin Wenger is collecting names of CSDS members who would be willing to help out from time to time in exchange for free admission. We need helpers to sit at the registration desk, clean up, or help with the snack table.

Adela is often the Table/Group Dinner Organizer for events attended by Charlottesville Westies ~ if you're planning to go to any of these or other events, let her know! And reserve your hotel room ASAP as the event hotels usually sell out well in advance; you can always cancel it later. Don't wait until you decide to go to book your room; it will be too late!
Gaia Read often organizes roadtrips from Charlottesville for the DC/MD/NoVA dances/events; contact her if you're interested in carpooling sometime.
