Greeting CSDS Dancers!
We want to update our community on a very important topic, and one of the first jobs the newly elected board took on ~ revising our Code of Conduct. You can see the full document on the CSDS website. Please familiarize yourselves with this document; copies will also be available and posted at CSDS in person events when they resume. The main points of the revised Code of Conduct are as follows:
- Dancers are encouraged to dance with a variety of partners—anyone can ask anyone to dance. Dancers can also say no or walk away during a dance without explanation.
- Please don’t offer feedback or instruction unless asked.
- If you feel harassed or unsafe or are injured, please let a CSDS board member know (they will be wearing badges).
- Please avoid weight-supported moves unless you check them out with your partner beforehand.
The next Board of Directors meeting (the 1st Thursday of the month) is April 1st at 6:30 pm EST via Zoom. Please contact the Board with any questions/concerns. As a reminder, CSDS will not hold any in person events (Swing Swap, dances, workshop weekends) until further notice.
CSDS Survey!
Your CSDS Board of Directors are exploring ways we can connect to each other and to dancing while we wait to resume in-person events. Please take a couple of minutes to complete our anonymous survey. We want your feedback and ideas! The deadline for responding is midnight on Saturday, March 27th. Many thanks!
Membership Renewal ~ Only $5!
Take advantage of this low fee to renew your membership (or rejoin!), and support CSDS. Even if your membership doesn't expire anytime soon, another year will simply be added to the expiration date of your current membership. To renew your membership at the newly reduced fee, please visit the CSDS website. If you have any questions regarding the status of your membership, please contact CSDS.

For those of you who are interested in virtual dance opportunities, many are listed here and here. Some are free, some are not, some are pay-what-you-can. Have a favorite dance instructor?
