Intergenerational Swing!
I had the great pleasure to partner with pro Ben McHenry in the Intergenerational Swing contest at Easter Swing, we came in 2nd Place! This is a super fun contest where there must be a 15 year age difference between the partners! Swing Fling will have its own version of this contest called Generations Swing (25 year age difference), in August. Get yer partners now!

CSDS is thrilled to welcome DC area dancers/instructors Margie Tuttle + Jung Choe to Charlottesville for their first visit! While many will recognize Margie as the daughter of well-known instructor Debbie Tuttle-Steffanina, Margie is a respected teacher in her own right. Having taught alongside her mom for years, she and partner Jung now teach the Intermediate West Coast Swing lesson every Monday night at Rendezvous Dance Club. Margie has been dancing since the age of 5, starting with tap, ballet, and jazz, then learning West Coast Swing soon after, and assisting her mom with dance classes from an early age. She thoroughly enjoys sharing her love of dance with her students. Jung has been dancing and teaching for more than 20 years, starting in Chicago and growing from there to start his own dance company and run events in Korea, and now living, dancing, and teaching in the DC area. They are regularly on staff at Jay Byam's Palm Springs New Year's & Summer Swing Dance Classic, judging and teaching, and are tearing up the All Star Jack & Jill and Strictly Swing divisions across the country with some impressions wins!

SCHEDULE:
7:00 - 8:00 pm: Lesson (inc. in admission)
8:00 - 11:00 pm: Dance
ADMISSION:
- $10 CSDS Members
- $13 Non-Members
- $5 Students (FT w/ID) & First-Time Attendees
- $5 for CSDS Members with May Birthdays :-)
- Children Under 16 are Free (no childcare services)
FOOTWEAR: please wear either dance shoes or light-colored soles; whatever you wear must be non-marking!
ISO VOLUNTEERS: we're looking for volunteers to help with our Monthly Dances. Roles include: Set Up, Registration Desk and Tear Down. Compensation is typically free admission to the next dance. Opportunities are available for this Saturday's dance! Contact us to inquire or sign up!
PARKING & INCLEMENT WEATHER:
As parking is limited, we encourage you to carpool to our dance. In the event of inclement weather, we will post any schedule updates/changes on our public FB page (you don't have to have an account), by 1 pm.

Adela is often the Table/Group Dinner Organizer for events attended by Charlottesville Westies ~ if you're planning to go to any of these or other events, let her know! And reserve your hotel room ASAP as the event hotels usually sell out well in advance; you can always cancel it later. Don't wait until you decide to go to book your room; it will be too late!
Gaia Read often organizes roadtrips from Charlottesville for the DC/MD/NoVA dances/events; contact her if you're interested in carpooling sometime.
