Hello Dancers ~ as the level of community transmission remains high for Charlottesville and Albemarle County, the CSDS Board has suspended hosting in-person dance events at least through the month of November. Neither Swing Swap nor our monthly 3rd Saturday dances will be held until further notice. We will continue to err on the side of caution rather than potentially put our dancers at risk, even with our vaccine only/face mask requirement. We appreciate your patience, understanding and support as we continue to navigate these challenging times.
Annual Board of Directors Election
The Board of Directors would like to let the CSDS membership know of our desire to extend the term of our current Directors for another year and to postpone our annual election to October 2022, due to the extenuating covid-19 circumstances. Please let us know by October 25th if you have any objections! We do currently have two vacant Director positions and per the CSDS Bylaws, Directors may be elected to fill these vacancies for the remainder of the term, by vote of the majority of Directors in office. If you are interested in filling one of these two vacancies to serve on the Board, let us know so we can fill you in on the roles and responsibilities of being a Director!
Fall Hike ~ Saturday, October 23rd
CSDS is sponsoring a Fall Hike on Saturday, October 23rd, leaving the side parking lot at Wegman's at 2 pm. See all the details here. Thank you to Kristin Wenger for organizing this in-person social outing!

$5 Membership Renewal Continued!
We are continuing our $5 membership renewal for the time being! Take advantage of this low fee to renew your membership (or rejoin!) and support CSDS. Even if your membership doesn't expire anytime soon, another year will simply be added to the expiration date of your current membership. To renew your membership at the newly reduced fee, please visit the CSDS website. If you have any questions regarding the status of your membership, please contact CSDS.

Code of Conduct
CSDS has an updated Code of Conduct. All CSDS attendees are expected to be familiar with and abide by it. We will have printed copies for your review at our in-person dance events.
