Our next dance is Saturday, October 15th at Ivy Creek United Methodist Church with instructors/DJs Jason Donahoo and Emma Suggs! A new teaching partnership, Jason and Emma reside in Lynchburg where they head up the Westie community there, teaching classes and hosting dances. It's also our Halloween Dance with Costume Contest which is optional but we encourage everyone to come in costume and there will be prizes (Scariest, Funniest, Best Group)!! Make sure to arrive by 9 pm to be considered for the costume contest!
During the break, we'll also hold our Annual Membership Meeting with Board of Directors Elections for 2023. It's not to late to consider joining the Board; contact the Nominating Committee of Alyssa Lundgren and Maria Ferrara to nominate someone, including yourself!
LESSON: 7-8 pm (inc. in Admission)
- Find Your Voice: how many times have your instructors said "give your partner space!" or "you have to let them speak!" or even "WCS is a dialogue dance where both partners have things to say?" This lesson will give you tips and tricks to learn how to start doing just that. Instead of talking about the concept of space, we'll get into the nitty gritty on how to actually DO that.
- Skill Requirement: should know your basic pushes, passes and whip. Have an open mind and be willing to step outside of your comfort zone of patterns.
DANCE: 8-11 pm

CSDS Returns to $15 Annual Membership
CSDS has returned to our $15 annual membership fee. Membership is completely optional for attending CSDS events; however, members do get to enjoy discounts to CSDS dances. To renew your membership, please visit the CSDS website or renew on site at a CSDS dance. If you have any questions regarding the status of your membership, please contact CSDS.
