June 6, 2022

Greetings Sector Leaders,

Congratulations to you and your school communities for leading students through yet another unpredictable and challenging year. We remain deeply appreciative of the commitment and dedication you have shown your students, staff, and school community at large throughout this year. We are especially grateful for your efforts to ensure the wellbeing of your students both in and out of the classroom.

This month’s newsletter includes operational updates for schools across the sector as you close out SY 2021-22 and plan for SY 2022-23. As with the May newsletter, there are a number of deadlines in this month’s issue that require attention and some upcoming deadlines that require specific action (e.g. sending calendars for next year to your school’s transportation analyst).

Throughout June, the CSO will also be working diligently to respond to 2021-22 ACE feedback and support school operations efforts. After you take a much-deserved summer break, we will also share some communications with the sector regarding school opening engagement and other CSO-related updates. We thank you for your partnership, engagement, and feedback.

As always, if you have any questions or feel like there is an opportunity for the CSO to be helpful, please do not hesitate to reach out directly.

With thanks,

Peng Chao

Acting Chief, Charter Schools
