Defender Services Diversity Fellowship Program
Application deadline: January 7, 2022.

  • The Defender Services Program has long sought to increase the participation of attorneys from groups traditionally underrepresented in the legal profession. Designed for graduating law students and attorneys early in their careers, the non-capital program will place 12 fellows in different FDO host offices around the country for two-year terms during which fellows will gain federal criminal defense training and experience in providing representation in non-capital CJA cases. Fellows will matriculate as a class. Each class will have a number of opportunities for joint training, mentorship, and other group activities. Fellows will receive a salary and benefits. Move the Needle 1L Diversity Pipeline Collective Summer Program

  • The Move the Needle Fund 1L Diversity Pipeline Collective is a joint effort between legal departments and law firms to provide first-year law students from historically underrepresented backgrounds with split-summer internships that offer exposure to career-enhancing work experiences and influential professional networks. Specifically, these 1L students will have an opportunity to work for top legal departments and law firms to gain professional and legal skills from both practice perspectives.
