The California Department of Education (CDE), Early Education Division (EED) announced a Request for Applications (RFA) for the availability of $130 million to expand California State Preschool Program (CSPP) services statewide. These funds are available to local education agency (LEA) applicants to provide full-day/full-year and/or part-day/part-year CSPP services beginning in fiscal year (FY) 2021-22. Funding will be allocated by county, and within each county by the Local Planning Council (LPC) priority area.

A three-session webinar will be presented by the Early Education Division’s (EED) Program Quality Implementation (PQI), the Fiscal and Administrative Services Division’s Early Education and Nutrition Fiscal Services and the EED’s Child Development Management Information System (CDMIS) offices to provide an overview of regulatory and programmatic requirements for implementing a CSPP contract.

CSPP Fiscal and Administrative Requirements 
THIS THURSDAY – March 10, 2022 from 9AM-12PM

The second webinar, presented by the Fiscal and Administrative Services office, will include an overview of general contract information for the California State Preschool Program (CSPP), introduce contractors to the Child Development Provider Accounting Reporting Information System (CPARIS), review newly implemented reporting requirements for Fiscal Year 2021-22, and provide a detailed review of the calculation sheet and apportionment payment determination.

CSPP Child Development Management Information System Requirements
THIS THURSDAY – March 10, 2022 from 1PM-3PM

The third and final webinar, presented by the CDMIS office will provide contractors with an opportunity to meet the CDMIS technical assistance team, as well as provide an overview of what the CDMIS is and the data it collects, review CDD-801A reporting requirements, walkthrough how contractors should update and maintain their agency information within the system, and answer some frequently asked questions pertaining to the CDMIS.
