FTC Request for Comments: Deadline Extended to May 25
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has requested input from the public about pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) and their impact on drug pricing and access to medication. To help ensure that the physician perspective is represented, CSRO has developed talking points to assist rheumatologists in submitting their own comments.

The deadline to respond has been extended to May 25, and we ask you to join us in providing this critical feedback - make your voice heard today.
CSRO Joins the Conversation
On April 14, Dr. Madelaine Feldman provided a statement at the invitation of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to a joint listening session hosted by the FTC and the Department of Justice.

The session, which can be viewed here, explored the firsthand effects of mergers in the healthcare industry and is expected to help inform the new merger guidelines that the agencies will release later this year. Dr. Feldman focused on the harm to patients resulting from over-consolidation in the pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) industry, in particular the impact on formulary construction and rising out-of-pocket costs.
