This symposium, hosted by the Health, Humanities, and Society Program, gathers an international group of scholars to take stock of the digital futures of health humanities—its pedagogies, its practices, and its publics—to envision together where we might go. Topics include humanities approaches to new health/healthcare technologies; the ethics, history, narrative and rhetorical framing of AI innovations in healthcare; digital humanities approaches to questions of health and healthcare past, present, and future; and many more.

The Boston Jazz Foundation, in collaboration with the Reckonings Project, the Claremont Neighborhood Association, and Union United Methodist Church, will hold an International Jazz Day concert and historical exhibit. This celebration of jazz will feature performances by Jason Palmer, one of the most-in-demand trumpeters and composers of his generation and faculty at the New England Conservatory, and Amanda Shea, a renowned spoken-word and multidisciplinary artist, educator and activist residing in Boston.

Join the Reckonings Project community partner JerriAnne Boggis, Executive Director of Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire, for a workshop on impactful community conversations. Boggis will give hands-on advice on how she designs and delivers Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire’s highly attended “Elinor Williams Hooker Tea Talks.” The Tea Talks, an annual community conversation program, center on thought-provoking topics, attract leading speakers, and spark generative community conversations.

Learn how to plan and create a multigenerational interview project, preserve stories, and make them publicly accessible. Join the Reckonings Project team and Kevin Williams, Senior Coach at Freedom House, to discuss the why and how of bringing different generations together in an oral history project.
