Proteus aims to have an underwater observatory in Caribbean waters operational by 2025, which could offer incredible opportunities for research involving faculty and students at all levels.

RECOGNITION AND PUBLICATIONS

Director of the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs and Professor of Public Policy Maria Ivanova's book The Untold Story of the World´s Leading Environmental Institution: UNEP at Fifty (2021) is included in MIT's Press Impact Report 2023 as one of the most influential MIT Press books. The report presents Professor Ivanova’s work as a model for how to engage the widest possible international audience with cutting-edge scholarly ideas and insights.

Jennie Stephens, Dean's Professor of Sustainability Science and Policy, was interviewed by Ana Davis, an undergraduate International Affairs majors currently on co-op at the Cairo Review of Global Affairs as an assistant editor. "All Policy is Climate Policy" looks at the future of climate policy and the need for larger societal structural transformation.
