Chinbo Chong, Assistant Professor of Political Science and Cultures, Societies, and Global Studies, has published "The Model Minority Stereotype and Republican Partisan Identification Among Asian Americans" in Political Behavior.
Professor of History Louise Walker's book Debts Unpaid: Two Centuries of Trouble and Conflict in Mexico's Economy has received the Wallace K. Ferguson Prize from the Canadian Historical Association. The award is given for the best scholarly book in a field of history other than Canadian history.
Gretchen Heefner, Chair and Professor of History, has won the Robert H. Ferrell Book Prize from the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations for her book Sand, Snow, and Stardust: How US Military Engineers Conquered Extreme Environments. This prize is designed to reward distinguished scholarship in the history of American foreign relations, broadly defined.
