A CSTP Update

The Child Support Training Partnership's membership has grown to over 600 people! Along with this jump in membership, we have also had several requests to present at our quarterly conference calls, meaning we have topics lined up for the rest of the year. I have been a part of CSTP for the last two years, and it is so inspiring to see folks step up and offer to share information with the group.

While we do have several topics lined up for our conference calls, you can still get involved with CSTP. I am always looking for submissions for this newsletter, and I would encourage you to submit your ideas, even if the article is small. I am also always looking for people to interview for the newsletter. It only takes 15 minutes of your time, and it can benefit so many!

If you have submitted an article, joined our advisory committee, or even just shared our newsletter or calls with a fellow colleague, thank you! If you are new to CSTP, I encourage you to share your ideas with this group. We want to hear from you.

A Look Ahead

CQI Conversation

Have you noticed that many organizations experience the same challenges over and over? One way to stop this cycle is to change the workplace environment by implementing Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) within the organization. This improvement method aids in developing solutions to systemic problems by strategically engaging teams and stakeholders. Essentially, CQI helps organizations identify areas in need of repair, develop solutions, and implement those solutions to effect real change.

Our CQI conversation will be led by Melonie Lance who is a Clemson University ThinkShops Training Specialist. Her career began in the South Carolina classroom which led to working with adults across a variety of state agencies. Melonie has over 20 years of experience providing engaging professional development, and during that time she has facilitated countless sessions for South Carolina Child Support Services Division (SCCSSD). Because of the relationships she built, SCCSSD called on her to provide training for their CQI team. Please join us as we share our experience with implementing CQI.

We are looking for more members on our

Our latest CSTP Networking Call was on June 29th. Our discussion centered around CEU's, Learning Management Systems, organization name changes, and authoring tools. We had some specific questions surrounding requiring CEU's, so please reach out if your department does have requirements for CEU's!

We also introduced our CSTP Whiteboard! Feel free to utilize this whiteboard during our meetings if you think of a topic you would like to circle back to, or in-between meetings to get a topic on the agenda.

These meetings serve as an opportunity for us all to get to know one another better, share successes, and ask advice from other members on how to improve Child Support trainings. These calls are meant to be open for anyone to share, so there will not be a formal presentation, however, at the end of each call we will pick one topic that we plan to touch on, so if someone would like to prepare something to share, they can.
