Happy Almost-the-Weekend, Pack! 🐺✨! Last week's surprise snowfall had the campus looking like a winter wonderland – or at least that's what we told ourselves while shuffling around in our bargain bin winter gear. Speaking of fashion, an impromptu campus poll (ahem! done by one person) revealed our official "CSU Pueblo Snow Chic" uniform: feed store puffy vests, flannel shirts that have seen better days, and boots that would make a TikTok influencer cry. Because let's be honest – if your winter wear doesn't have at least one price tag from Tractor Supply, are you even trying?

Get ready for this week's double feature of adulting: our "Colorado Film Town Hall" on Saturday and a financial seminar next week. Because nothing says "I've got my life together" quite like discussing film theory while learning how to finally understand your credit score... yeehaw!

πŸ‘‘ CROWN US FIRST-GEN CHAMPIONSπŸ‘‘

CSU Pueblo Slays State Recognition

First Generation Serving Institution, Colorado Department of Higher Education

When almost half our Pack Family/Pack Familia blazes new trails as first-generation college students, amazing things happen. And Colorado just took notice in a BIG way.

CSU Pueblo just joined an elite circle of Colorado colleges – we're talking exclusive, "Pass the Grey Poupon," "We summer in the Hamptons," and, "I give copies of Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead as baby shower gifts" exclusive – earning the prestigious First Generation-Serving Institution title. (Only a few other four-year public schools in the entire state can claim this honor!)

But what makes this recognition truly special? It's not just about numbers or fancy titles. It's about every ThunderWolf who dared to dream bigger, push harder, and go further than anyone in their family ever had the chance to before.

This isn't just another accolade (though we like those) – it's a movement. And at CSU Pueblo? We're just getting started.

Want to know what this game-changing recognition means for our Pack? Keep reading... πŸ‘‡

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, or the Clery Act, our school is required to disclose statistics concerning the number of specific crimes that occurred within Clery-specific geography that are reported to local police agencies or to a campus security authority.

In addition to those who work in campus safety, those who are responsible for security and monitoring access to our buildings, and those who are designated within our campus security policies to receive crime reports, the law also defines a β€œcampus security authority” as: β€œan official of an institution who has significant responsibility for student and campus activities, including, but not limited to, student housing, student discipline, and campus judicial proceedings.”

Β· Are you a member of the Campus Law Enforcement or Safety Office?

Β· Are you responsible for safety but not a member of the campus law enforcement or Safety Office?

Β· Are you someone who is mentioned in policy that crimes should be reported to?

Β· Is it part of your job to build relationships with students?

Β· Do you volunteer or have a job function outside of the classroom that causes you to interact with students?

If you received this training bulletin, you must attend this training once a year. If you have questions call the Clery Manager or Campus Safety Director at 2373.
