THURSDAY DECEMBER 5, 2024

Your Weekly Dose of CSU Pueblo News & Views

Welcome to what we're officially dubbing "The Eternal December" – those mysterious days between Thanksgiving and winter break where time seems to exist in a dimension of its own. If you're counting (we definitely are), it's exactly 10 days until campus transforms into a ghost town faster than you can say "wanna try a fruit cake?"

Speaking of holidays

Let's address the gift guide-shaped elephant in the room. At last count, our inboxes have been blessed with 47 "Ultimate Holiday Gift Guides," 23 "Must-Have Gift Lists," and one very persistent email about artisanal pickle-making kits.

Fear not! Unlike every other publication that suddenly thinks you need their opinion on stocking stuffers, we promise to keep this newsletter 100% gift guide free. (Though if anyone's wondering, those pickle-making kits are actually pretty cool...)

The Purr-fect Mystery: Campus Cats Capture Hearts

Move over, campus squirrels - there's a new furry phenomenon in town!

Recent Reddit buzz (one poster a month ago) has revealed our resident feline friends are living their best nine lives, complete with mysterious benefactors keeping their food bowls full. One of us in the office might be stalking a certain cat near the OSC but we won't name names.

While the identity of these cat champions remains unknown, rest assured these four-legged friends are well-cared for. (But if you're concerned, our Facilities Management team is your best point of contact.)
