"Foxtrot: Operation Unification"

Film Synopsis: In 1991, Navy and Marines set up a life-saving hospital in scorching Desert Storm conditions, treating hundreds of casualties and successfully completing their mission despite numerous hardships. Upon returning to the States, they face a new battle on the home front: grappling with post-traumatic stress disorder alongside their families. United by their wartime experiences, their camaraderie becomes their anchor as they confront PTSD and the haunting memories of war.

Palm Desert Entrepreneurial Resource Center celebrates launch with grand opening event


The Palm Desert Entrepreneurial Resource Center celebrated its grand opening on March 5 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, featuring refreshments provided by local small businesses and congratulatory remarks by local and regional dignitaries.

Cathedral City LGBT+ Days


PDC participated in the Cathedral City LGBT+ Days Bed Race and Parade on March 9 in downtown Cathedral City.


Our team, which also included our CSUSB mascot Cody the Coyote, brought the energy and spirit, racing to the finish line in style!

Optometry Clinic at PDC


The first-ever optometry clinic was held at PDC!


The event held on March 4 was co-hosted by the Western University of Health Sciences Eye Care Institute, in partnership with the CSUSB Student Health Center and the Hubbard Health and Psychological Counseling Center at PDC, and provided a one-stop shop of reduced-cost optometry services to students who received a full eye exam, selected their frames on the spot, and even received a copy of their prescriptions in case follow-up care is needed.


The clinic was a great success, offering students convenient access to essential eye care right here on campus. We look forward to continuing this initiative to support the health and wellness of our student community.

Third-grade AVID students visit PDC


It's never too early for young minds to experience the energy and opportunities that a college campus offers.


The CSUSB Office of Pre-College Programs hosted a group of 80 third-grade AVID students from the Coachella Valley Unified School District at PDC on March 12.


The agenda was packed with fun activities, a campus tour and a college student panel.


This was the first time most of the students had ever stepped foot on a college campus!

Dedication to the Nursing Profession ceremony held at PDC


Nursing students at the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus were honored at a special ceremony at PDC on March 6.


The "Dedication to the Nursing Profession" ceremony honored newly-admitted nursing students who matriculated from pre-nursing to nursing. Participants pledged to be ethical nursing students and received a new white coat.

PDC Soccer Club travels to Los Angeles


The PDC Soccer Club recently took a trip to a Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) soccer game against the New York City Football Club (NYCFC) at the BMO Stadium in LA.


The game was a great way for club members and friends to observe how professional soccer players deal with intense competition, and the best part... they got lucky with a ticket upgrade and were able to enjoy the game from a beautiful suite!

Basketball tournament at PDC


The 2nd Annual College Possible Basketball Tournament took place at PDC on March 4, in collaboration with the Student Success Studio and PAWS Radio. What an incredible event, filled with fun and friendly competition, sportsmanship and plenty of high-flying action!

Migrant Education Career Day


The Coachella Valley Unified School District Migrant Education Program Region 7 10th Annual Career Day took place at PDC on March 21.


The event inspired more than 100 migrant students by providing valuable career guidance and mentorship, and featured a student panel, breakout sessions with industry professionals, and networking opportunities, allowing students to explore various career pathways such as nursing, law, and sports management.
