Dear Religious School Families,

I am so excited to be taking on the position of Director of Youth and Family Education at Congregation Schaarai Zedek. When my husband, Justin, and I made the decision to move to Tampa, we knew that it was a special place and that CSZ was a unique congregation. Over the past year, I have experienced the generosity, warmth, and kindness of this community and know that we made the right decision in moving our family here.
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the Flom Religious School students, teachers, and families. I have worked in many different educational and children’s programming environments, spanning large and small religious schools, summer camps, and even cruise ships. I have been working closely with Donna Wood to learn about our school, and I am so thankful that she has agreed to help with the transition.
I look forward to working with our clergy, staff, and lay leaders in determining the best experience possible for your children in the upcoming school year. We recognize the challenges of our current situation and are all working together to create a plan that will allow us to embrace new ways to connect and get creative with our program while preserving the elements that have always made our school so special. Above all, we will do what is best for our students, families, and teachers.
Here is what you need to know about religious school right now:
1.       Registration is OPEN- No matter what format we develop for next year, we want your family to be a part of it. Please click on the following link to find our new ONLINE forms for the 2020-2021 school year.
2.       Summer Programming- Over the summer, I will be working with Lindsey Dewey, Director of Youth and Family Engagement and Outreach, Becca Pollak, our amazing assistant, and our clergy team to develop fun and engaging Jewish programming for your family. Please be sure you are reading the “What’s New This Week” newsletter for fun activities and Jewish learning this summer.
3.       Let’s Talk- As our plan for the new school year begins to take shape, we will want input from our students and their parents. If you have questions, concerns, or ideas, please feel free to e-mail me at I am happy to talk any time about your child’s Jewish journey.

I am so looking forward to getting to know all of you and to work with our incredible team of faculty here at Congregation Schaarai Zedek. Wishing all of you a safe summer and I hope to see you in person soon!
All the best,

Molly Levy
