CT Sportsmen's Update

Dear Friends,

The first full week of the legislative session has concluded. Of the bills released this week, we saw the first anti-trapping legislation, bills calling for a controlled bear hunt, among other issues expected of this session. Environment Committee

The Environment Committee will hold its first meeting today, Friday, January 17th, at 12 pm. As of today, the next meeting will be a joint informational session with the Energy and Technology Committee concerning Municipal Solid Waste on Wednesday, January 22nd, at 10 am.

Friends of Connecticut Sportsmen Dinner

Friends of Connecticut Sportsmen is excited to announce that we will be hosting our first Southeastern Connecticut fundraising dinner on Friday, March 21, 2025, starting at 5:30 pm at the Westbrook Elks Club!


Ticket prices will be $80/person OR $640/table of 8. 


Food will be served family style and consist of:

  • Beef tenderloin
  • Chicken Francaise
  • Stuffed sole
  • Elk’s famous Pierogi
  • Rice
  • Seasonal vegetables
  • Coffee
  • Assorted desserts
  • Alcoholic Beverages*


*Please note that while alcohol will be served at this event, drinks are not included in the ticket price. Please bring your own money (cash preferable) to be able to purchase and tip bartenders accordingly.


Also included:

  • Bucket Raffles
  • Special Firearms raffle
  • Silent Auction*


*if time/space/donations allow.


There will also be a special advanced raffle that will be drawn the night of the event that anyone can get in on (you do NOT have to be present to win!)


Prize includes:

  • a Winchester Wildcat .22lr Suppressor Ready
  • a voucher* for a Banish .22 cal suppressor.


*The value of the voucher can be used for a larger caliber model if the winner chooses.
