Signal Troubleshooting Basics

A CT Traffic Signal Academy Workshop

In this workshop, participants will learn the 6-step troubleshooting process and keys to identifying the most common traffic signal malfunctions. Participants will spend the remaining time in hands-on practice, identifying and troubleshooting common issues on traffic signal controller cabinets. Seasoned technicians will be available to answer questions and discuss issues participants may be encountering in the field.

Who Should Attend

Practicing and aspiring municipal traffic signal technicians are encouraged to attend. A basic knowledge of traffic operations is recommended.

Participants will receive 6 credit hours towards their CT Traffic Signal Champion designation.
