Module Three: Public Speaking, Presentation Skills & Running Effective Meetings

A CT Transportation Leadership Program REQUIRED Workshop

This module is designed to help you improve your presentation skills and will provide proven tips and tools for creating organized, persuasive and engaging messages for your audience. We will also discuss how to effectively and efficiently manage meetings, including how to handle questions from the audience and staying on topic and on time. Each participant will have the opportunity to practice what they have learned by delivering a short presentation and receiving feedback from the instructor and the group.

Instructor

Steve Ockerbloom is a facilitator, trainer and consultant for Creative Horizons Training. Steve has spent the last 19 years delivering impactful workshops on the topics of leadership, individual and team development. What sets Steve's workshops apart is his ability to use experiential activities to bring the course topics to life for participants.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this class participants will be able to:

Understand what the best platform skills are to make sure people pay attention;

Identify the behavioral styles of the people in an audience and how to communicate with them;

Identify when and how to use the correct Audio/Visual tools;

Understand the Ladder of Inference, how to demonstrate what information is remembered and how to best phrase your message.
