Coan Tennis’ very own president, Chequetta Allen, will be completing her term as the 2024 ALTA President at the end of December. During her term, she oversaw ALTA’s involvement with the final year of the ATP Men’s 250 Atlanta Open tournament. Additionally, she implemented an initiative that aimed to survey members of each league to determine how well the league and leadership have performed. These surveys are ongoing, and the information collected continues to be used to identify opportunities for growth and programming improvement.



Chequetta's efforts have been focused on activities that are supportive of her desire to see continued positive momentum in not only ALTA but throughout the game of tennis. Following the conclusion of her term, Chequetta will remain on with ALTA as the 2024 Past President where she will maintain positions on the ALTA Executive Committee and ALTA Board.

Please plan to attend ALTA's Annual Meeting on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held at The Atlanta Athletic Club. Chequetta will be presiding over the meeting and delivering her farewell address.

We hosted 146 players from 10 different states. The level of play, the spirit of the participants, and their readiness to endure the high temperatures were exceptional. Congratulations to both the champions and the finalists.

Condolences to Delphine and the Reese family on the recent passing of their beloved, Dr. Morris Reese. Dr. Reese dedicated his life to serving others. Despite his busy schedule, he made time to play and lead an ALTA team. He will be deeply missed.
