HEALTH INSURANCE NEGOTIATION UPDATE!

Coalition bargaining on Health Insurance has concluded. Under the new agreement, all plans will see a very small increase of only $10 per pay period, maximum of $20 per month. This means if an employee has selected a plan for themselves and others (whether spouse or children or both), the plan premium goes up $10 per pay period only. The number of people covered by the plan has no additional effect on the premium increase. While there have been plan design changes from time to time, this is the first premium increase in 10 years. In addition, participants can now qualify for the health rewards rebates by meeting 3 out of 5 of the targeted outcomes (formerly 4 out of 5). This will enable many more employees to save on their monthly premiums.
