Help Us Celebrate
It's Travis' 20th Year As Our Riverkeeper!
Hello Friends -

20 years ago this month, Travis Williams started his career as Riverkeeper and Executive Director of Willamette Riverkeeper .

With a deep love of the natural world, wildlife and canoeing, having grown up next to and on the Willamette River, accepting this job was a natural fit for him.

Over the past 20 years, Travis has fought for and won many protections for the river, worked to develop our team and engage and grow a community that embraces the Willamette’s health and well-being.

  • Our advocacy, education, research, habitat restoration, legal work, outreach and engagement have expanded the public’s understanding of both the history and current ecological successes and challenges occurring within the Willamette River system.
  • Willamette Riverkeeper implemented a wide range of projects and programs, and has helped to facilitate thousands of people connecting with the Willamette River from Portland, Salem, Albany, Corvallis, Springfield, Eugene and everywhere in between.
  • Our supporters are a community of people who are unique and diverse. We are all drawn together by our shared belief in Willamette Riverkeeper’s mission to protect and restore the Willamette, because we love this river! Together we strive for clean water and healthy habitat- we advocate, we volunteer, we may even paddle, all to preserve and enhance the River we have come to love, the river in all of our backyards.

Willamette Riverkeeper intended to host a riverside gala in honor of Travis this fall, but due to COVID-19, the event has been postponed until we can safely come together and celebrate in person.
Help us acknowledge this milestone and the hard work and dedication of Travis Williams! Please join us in celebrating his 20 years of service to the Willamette River by:
