ACTE is pleased to offer all-new Teach CTE workshops, addressing teacher recruitment and retention challenges, at select upcoming region leadership conferences. Each full-day workshop costs $225 to attend and includes lunch.

ACTE’s Postsecondary CTE Summit happens Sept. 18–20 in Chicago, Illinois, and we hope to see you there! Tackling critical issues in postsecondary CTE, this event addresses apprenticeship models, best practices related to faculty recruitment and retention, and strategies for securing business partnerships. Share your expertise and insights by submitting a presentation proposal by May 3. Register by April 1 for a chance to win an Apple Watch.

Student Video Contest Deadline is Fast Approaching!

ACTE and NASA HUNCH are always excited to host the student video challenge, which offers students the opportunity to showcase the application of CTE and project-based learning programs in high-demand career fields on Earth as well as in space. This year’s theme: “Why Go to the Moon?” The contest is open to students of all ages. Submit a two-minute video by April 1.

The Impact of CTE on Student Outcomes

The CTE Research Network released a report that provides a systematic review of the research literature spanning the past 20 years. They found many positive impacts of CTE on high school student outcomes, including students’ academic achievement, high school completion, employability skills, and college readiness.

Applications for the 2024 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence are now open! Harbor Freight Tools for Schools will award $1.5 million in cash prizes to 25 outstanding U.S. public high school skilled trades teachers and their programs.
