"Change"

Change is sometimes difficult. Change is often times unwanted. We have all experienced changes in our lives we could never fathom due to Covid. But, there are some things that don't change. Children get sick. Children need life saving organ transplants. The families of these children need never ending support. The sole mission of CTI is to provide that support, and it would not be possible without each and every one of you. THANK YOU for sharing this journey with us, together we are making a difference.

Grants
CTI would like to thank the John L. Hern Foundation and the Albert & Ethel Herzstein Charitable Foundation for their very generous grants in support of our "R" Rooms Hospitality Housing program! These grants will enable CTI to secure additional apartments for the families we serve.

CTI Families Update
The first half of 2021 we said good bye to 4 of our families that got the green light to go back home and start their new normal after their child received the gift of life! This is always such an exciting time, but also a very anxious time as many of them are heading back home to another state, very far from the comfort of our great Texas Medical Center and their transplant team. We pray they will feel apart of the CTI family always. Our 5 hospitality apartments remain full with an active waiting list. Thank you to all of you who support our mission to come alongside these families on their transplant journeys!

LET'S GET MOVIN' FOR THE KIDS! We want you on our team! Join us on Sunday morning, September 19th at the UofH campus for a brisk walk or run in honor of our Children's Transplant Initiative children who can't leave their protected bubbles as they wait on or recover from a transplant. Won't you join our team and help us raise funds to support these families? Join us Saturday, November 13th for an all day music festival celebrating independent Texas music and help pediatric transplant families.

We were not able to make it happen in 2021, but 2/11/22 we will be hosting the Children's Transplant Classic Sporting Clay Shoot at American Shooting Centers!
