Christ the King School Newsletter - August 21, 2018
Dear Christ the King School Families,
It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome each of you to the 2018-19 school year! I am so honored and pleased to be a member of Christ the King Catholic School. Our morning started with an all-school assembly where we celebrated the start of a new and exciting school year. It was heartwarming to see so many parents and grandparents gathered in support of our students, faculty, and staff. Morning Assembly was followed by a special Back to School Prayer of Blessing Service in the church, allowing us the opportunity to come together as a community. As mentioned previously, this year’s school theme is hope. This theological virtue will light our way this school year as we rely on Psalm 119:105, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.”
Back to School Night for grades K-8 will be held on Wednesday, August 29th at 6:30 p.m. in the church. Back to School Night provides us the opportunity to inform you of any information and updates to the 2018-19 school year. One of the updates I am excited to share is our new and improved CTK website. Katie Thornbury and our school’s advisory committee members are to be commended for their time, talent, and energy toward crafting our school’s new website.  It is an important source for school news and information. It is available to view starting August 29th, and I encourage you to visit and explore our new website firsthand.
CTK is truly blessed to have a committed and talented faculty and staff who come to school each day with the primary goal of helping your children grow in our faith and learn beyond measure. They have been hard at work preparing and planning for a successful school year. I appreciate their dedication and commitment to Catholic education.
It’s evident that CTK is a very special community, and I look forward to meeting you in the coming months and partnering with you to support your student’s success. An all-school mass is scheduled, Friday, August 24th at 8:00 a.m. and we would be most honored to have you there.
Abundant Blessings,
Mr. Silveira
