Christ the King School Newsletter - September 4, 2018
Dear Christ the King School Families,

Thank you for attending last week’s Back to School Night! I appreciated your energy and excitement for the new school year. The love you have for your children was evident, and I sincerely thank you for trusting us with their care. I hope you enjoyed visiting the classrooms and meeting your child’s teacher and instructional assistant. Our faculty and staff prepared greatly for the start of a new school year and for this evening’s events . I would like to thank all faculty, staff, and community members who presented in the church that evening as well. With the Monsignor Wade Golf Tournament forthcoming and the auction committee and festival committee meeting soon we have so much to be grateful for.

A Giving Spirit
I had an opportunity to sit down, most recently, with members of the 2018-2019 student council leadership team. It was awesome to hear their ideas and initiatives for the school year.

A $1 donation NON- UNIFORM DAY has been planned for Thursday, September 6th. Funds will go to support Father Paulson's brother Santhosh’s, Carmelite of Mary Immaculate Congregation, school in Kerala, India. CMI School was damaged by floodwaters that devastated the region. Students are asked to wear the colors of India's flag that day (orange, green and white). Click here to view our handbook guidelines for non-uniform apparel. We appreciate your generosity and kindness in supporting Father Paulson and Father Santhosh and their special community back at home. Collection receptacles will be placed in each classroom and the front office. All funds will be sent to the parish office to be sent in good faith to Father Santhosh and his school community.

CTK's 22nd Annual Monsignor Wade Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, September 10th at the beautiful Oakhurst Country Club . The tournament is a wonderful community building tradition in support of CTK school’s programming and tuition assistance. Registration is still open to those who want to play, click here . We thank Leo Lopoz in advance for his leadership and commitment to such a worthy event, and to all the volunteers involved as well.

Updated Website
If you have not yet viewed the new  school website, I encourage you to do so. The redesign makes the site easier and more intuitive for users, in addition to offering a visual update.  Click here  to view a video highlighting updates and changes.
