Crucial/Samsung SSD encryption easily bypassed!

SSD

The hard drive in a computer is what stores your data when the computer is turned off.  SSD (solid state drive) is the newer type of hard drive that has no moving parts, and is much faster and more robust than older spinning disk type hard drives.

Researches have recently found that the built in encryption in Samsung and Crucial SSD's (2 of the biggest manufacturers) is easily bypassed with default passwords... and Microsoft's BitLocker encryption is partly to blame.  Click below to read more about the issue:

If you rely on whole disk encryption to protect your data, you should try open source software such as VeraCrypt instead of BitLocker.

- Send a text from your computer: go to the Microsoft Store and download the Your Phone app... you can use it to send text messages right from your PC.

- Make it larger: to make the text on your screen larger, type Ease of access display settings in the search bar, then hit Enter.  Adjust the slider under Make text bigger... or choose an option from the dropdown under Make everything bigger.
