Project Push Week!

Nov 9-15

This week is Project Push Week!

We kicked off project push week with a mini-conference on Sunday, 11/9!

Please use this week as an opportunity to make connections between course content for the week and how that content might inform students’ projects.

Our goals for Project Push Week are to:

  • Help students make connections between what they are learning in their instructional courses and their projects.
  • Increase resources available to assist students in developing or refining their projects.
  • Create a shared focus for the entire CU Community across cohorts, time zones, and the curriculum.

Cohort Bingo Challenge!

Session 2 Course Midterm Reminders

Midterm Feedback

As we approach the middle of session 2, it is important to provide feedback to students on their progress. Please head to your Moodle course(s) to provide this feedback for your students in week 4. Guidance on providing feedback is available from the Faculty Support Site.

Course Evaluations

A midterm course evaluation is linked in week 4 of session 2 courses. Be sure to remind your students to complete the (anonymous) midterm evaluations. We recommend you post an announcement with a proposed deadline.

Lab Faculty

Project Push Week Bingo Challenge

CU students are invited to complete an individual bingo card and share it in a Bingo Card Challenge Forum in their WWL Moodle course. In the following week, Lab Faculty of participating cohorts will collect their cohort's Bingo Cards and report their cohort's participation in the challenge via the Project Push Week Engagement form. The cohort with the largest percentage of participation will win the project push week challenge, and some CU swag!

Public Exhibitions!

Week 16 Exhibitions are public! Students should be inviting guests to attend and be a part of their learning journey and continued project development.

Staff also join and participate in Exhibitions. Please confirm your plan for final public exhibitions via this form.

Faculty Spotlights

Troy Kindle, Instructional Faculty

What do you teach at CU?

OLC Courses - Leadership - Human Resources

Why do you teach at CU?

I teach to give back to students. College isn't easy, I know this as an adult learner myself. I had amazing professors that support me in my journey, and it is the right thing for me to also do the same.

What teaching strategies have worked for you?

Meeting students where they are in their educational journey, not every student has mastered the technology or if a class is virtual, asynchronous, or in person. We as instructors need to ensure we give the grace needed for student to learn.

Fun fact

I am an avid cyclist, in 2025 I have ridden 3,647 miles on my bicycle.

Kristyna Underwood, Instructional Faculty

What do you teach at CU?

Reframing Failure

Why do you teach at CU?

I am a huge believer in second chances and in education. I am so proud of the student body at CU. CU serves persevering adults who have overcome so many obstacles. I love being a part of that journey!

What teaching strategies have worked for you?

Transparency and being a text message away.

Fun fact

I am a special needs mother.
