Concert on Campus
January 24 • 7 PM
Step into a realm where candlelight burns with intensity, and rock’s greatest anthems are reborn through the raw power of the violin. The stage of the Central Union Parish Hall will glow with flickering flames as Blue Violin takes the spotlight for an unforgettable one-night-only concert. It’s a bold, genre-bending tribute to classic rock—where live violin loops collide with smoke, light, and epic arrangements.
Note: This event is not sponsored by the church nor is the performer affiliated with the church.

Volunteers Needed for Youth Fundraiser
The CUC Youth's annual Punahou Carnival parking fundraiser is happening on February 6 & 7! Volunteers are needed throughout the day and evening to assist with parking. Help is also needed to pick up and drop off food for volunteers. This year, 50% of proceeds will go to maintenance of the Great Lawn, the other 50% will go to fund youth experiences and enable us to donate to community organizations like Hawai‘i Foodbank and more.
| | If you're available and would like to support our youth, come help and enjoy some fellowship while you're at it! If you have any questions about volunteering or if you are able to help on Friday or Saturday, please email our Youth Director at melissa-thach@centralunionchurch.org. | | | | |

Release Rogerio
We continue to pray for our dear community members Cheryl and Rogerio who are feeling the weight of inhumane immigration policies. Rogerio is still being detained in Honolulu. Cheryl is working with an attorney to keep Rogerio in Hawai‘i based on her needs as a U.S. citizen with permanent disabilities and Rogerio's role as husband and caregiver. A friend has started an online petition for Rogerio to remain here in Honolulu.

It will likely be available for about 3-6 months. If you know of anyone needing a place for that term, check out the listing!

On the 133rd anniversary of the illegal overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom (January 17, 1893), may we remember the history of this place and its people, and acknowledge the ways that injustices from the past affect the present so that we may work toward reconciliation and healing.
As we celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr., pray for openness and clarity. May we be curious and open to more of King's teachings, especially the wisdom that might be less popular because it challenges the status quo.
Give thanks for those 50+ year members of our church family, for their steadfast faith, devoted service, and enduring love that have built a foundation of hope for generations.

Read in the Sunday worship service!
Sundays at 7 AM / 9 AM / 11 AM
Worship is one of the heartbeats of our church – it is the work of the whole church community in praising God, hearing God's word to us and responding in faith. One way to help each other in our worship is by reading scripture and other parts of our service. It enhances our experience of worship when we can have different faces and voices leading worship. If you are willing to read in a worship service, please join our pool of readers! Learn more and sign up by clicking HERE.

Beware of Email Scams!
Scams come in many forms, whether it's someone impersonating church staff or even a member, or a stranger seeming to have a good deal for you on a special product or service. Please be cautious when checking emails! Know that church staff will never ask you to purchase something or give personal information by email. Often you can identify an email's authenticity by verifying the sender’s email address (CUC staff emails end with @centralunionchurch.org), but it's also possible for scammers to mimic email addresses. So if you receive any strange message at all and are ever in doubt, just delete it, don't reply or click on any links. You may call the church office (808-941-0957) to confirm.
