Save the (Correct) Date!
The 2025 CUC Women's Retreat will be held on October 24-26 at Camp Mokule‘ia in Waialua. (Note the new dates. The dates printed in the past months' issues of The Spire are incorrect.) ALL women are invited to this gathering of sisters of faith to relax and renew spirits with lively conversations, laughter, and song.
Registration will open in June (with a Saturday-only option available). If we don't have enough people registered by June 30, we will need to cancel the retreat this year—so get ready to register!

Confirmation Celebration on Sunday, June 1
Confirmation is an important rite of passage in the United Church of Christ. It is a time when young people have the opportunity to affirm the vows made during their baptism and to declare publicly that they are ready to take responsibility for their own journey of faith. Please join us on Sunday, June 1, 2025, to celebrate our youth who will be confirmed this year.
| | We will have ONE worship service at 10 AM in the Sanctuary. Following the service, we will gather in the Women’s Building to visit with the confirmands and enjoy some refreshments. All are welcome – please join us! | | Attend Godly Play Storyteller Training | |
Storyteller Training
May 31, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

| | |
Space is still available for the third and final session! If interested, contact cayanna-herrera@centralunionchurch.org.

Pray for guidance beyond understanding and clarity beyond doubt as we continue to reflect on Limitless Wisdom.
As we celebrate graduates this season, let us remember and give thanks for those who support and encourage us to achieve in life!
Pray for courage in each of us to respond to the injustices in our world.

Readers Needed for Worship!
Worship is one of the heartbeats of our church – it is the work of the whole church community in praising God, hearing God's word to us and responding in faith. One way to help each other in our worship is by reading scripture and other parts of our service. It enhances our experience of worship when we can have different faces and voices leading worship.
If you are willing to read in a worship service, please join our pool of readers! Learn more and sign up by clicking HERE.

HAVE SOMETHING TO SHARE?
We welcome relevant news and events to share in our publications. Please submit items to news@centralunionchurch.org by Wednesday to be published in the following days.
| | Looking for a venue? Our church's range of facilities can accommodate all kinds of events! By renting out our spaces, we can provide a gathering place for the community and generate revenue for ministry. Learn more about our venues and consider hosting your next event at Central Union. Beware of Email Scams!
Scams come in many forms, whether it's someone impersonating church staff or even a member, or a stranger seeming to have a good deal for you on a special product or service. Please be cautious when checking emails! Know that church staff will never ask you to purchase something or give personal information by email. Often you can identify an email's authenticity by verifying the sender’s email address (CUC staff emails end with @centralunionchurch.org), but it's also possible for scammers to mimic email addresses. So if you receive any strange message at all and are ever in doubt, just delete it, don't reply or click on any links. You may call the church office (808-941-0957) to confirm.
