A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

This month’s US elections resulted in a new political environment. We do not know what the future will hold but we want to reassure you of our enduring commitment to support global health, our members, and policies backed by science that improve the wellbeing of people and the planet. CUGH remains steadfast in supporting US government institutions and agencies such as the NIH, CDC, HHS, EPA, USAID and others with missions consistent with ours. We will continue to advance equitable partnerships with colleagues around the world and we will work with all parties to achieve our mission. Please see our statements below on: the US elections; and the nominee for HHS Secretary, a vital position that impacts the health of everyone in the US and worldwide.

Globally, we are witnessing heart wrenching humanitarian disasters in Palestine, Sudan, Ukraine and other areas. We sincerely hope that political leaders will act with speed and determination to protect civilians and end these conflicts which have destroyed so many lives.
