Church Name Badges

Just a friendly reminder to please wear you name badge for the first few months starting in July, to help Pastor Amanda become familiar with everyone. If you don't have one, just ask the church office and we will make one for you.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Jim Van Voorhis Wednesday, July 13, at 2 pm, with a cookie and coffee reception afterward.

Brown Bag is having a potluck to welcome Pastor Amanda on Wednesday, July 20, 11:30 am to 1 pm in the Fellowship Hall. This is an open event for everyone.

Coffee Hour Cookies Needed

Our supplies of cookies are running very low. It's time to resupply the cookie jar.

(NO NUTS PLEASE)

We are still in need of volunteers for Coffee Hour and Clean-up. Please consider volunteering. Thank you!

A big thank you to everyone for the lovely farewell Sunday and for making my last job so special!

Working alongside the CUMC staff has truly been like working with supportive, caring friends. Add to that so many people who are always there to help... I couldn’t have done my job without their help. People like custodian, Bud Hatch and volunteers Dave Halpin, Donna Myers, Mark Haberman, Margie Wise, Jim Turner, Sharry Robinson, Robert Inabnet, Sherry Graham and so many others. It's always been a team effort of staff and volunteers. So, although many staff members have changed, all the volunteer support is still in place to assist Pastor Amanda, Carol, Kelly and Kerri.

Meeting and working for all of you has been such a wonderful way to end my work life! Thank you for the opportunity.

I'd like to send a special thank you to everyone for the warm welcome and reception to CUMC last Sunday. It was a wonderful way to meet people I don't always get to see in the office.

Thank you again to everyone who has helped make my transition so smooth and I look forward to working with everyone in the years to come!

Foster Youth "Life Start Kits" Needs

You are turning 18 years old, care in your Foster home ends, and now you need to start living on your own. You've recently faced many challenges and have few resources to start living independently.

Our Church is helping by assembling and delivering to Idaho Health and Welfare "Life Start Kits" for each of our area's 23 "aging out Foster Youth" in 2022. Each kit fills two 19-gallon totes with linens for bedroom, bathroom and kitchen; eating and cooking dishes and utensils; cleaning cloths and buckets; household scissors and tools; hygiene, desk and first aid supplies; flashlight and a personal finance book.

You can help by donating currently needed items, new or new-looking gently used to the white bins in east hallway of CUMC. Items needed are:

Twin sheets (solid color preferred)

Hand can openers

Vegetable peelers

Pancake turners

Mixing spoons

Slotted spoons

Soup ladles

Rubber Spatulas

Pasta/Soup Kettles (4-5qt)

Clothes Hangers (wire only)
