Foster Youth "Life Start Kits" Needs
You are turning 18 years old, care in your Foster home ends, and now you need to start living on your own. You've recently faced many challenges and have few resources to start living independently.
Our Church is helping by assembling and delivering to Idaho Health and Welfare "Life Start Kits" for each of our area's 23 "aging out Foster Youth" in 2022. Each kit fills two 19-gallon totes with linens for bedroom, bathroom and kitchen; eating and cooking dishes and utensils; cleaning cloths and buckets; household scissors and tools; hygiene, desk and first aid supplies; flashlight and a personal finance book.
You can help by donating currently needed items, new or new-looking gently used to the white bins in east hallway of CUMC. Items needed are:
Twin sheets (solid color preferred)
Hand can openers
Vegetable peelers
Pancake turners
Mixing spoons
Slotted spoons
Soup ladles
Rubber Spatulas
Pasta/Soup Kettles (4-5qt)
Clothes Hangers (wire only)
