Thank you for supporting and donating so generously to CUMC’s traditional Staff Holiday Gift Giving. It’s a thoughtful way to express our thanks and appreciation to our dependable and efficient staff for all they do for our Church and her congregation. Those who will receive your gift are very grateful, and thank each and every one of you for thinking of them during this busy time of year.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a
happy and healthy New Year!
Do You Know What a Confirmand Knows?
Why do we celebrate just two sacraments in the UM Church, while Catholics celebrate seven, and what do you know of your own baptism? In class we read the Acts passage in which an Ethiopian eunuch questions the Apostle Philip about an Isaiah scripture and subsequently wishes to be baptized. And we reviewed the liturgy for baptismal covenant found in our hymnal, paying particular attention to the promises that parents and the congregation make. Why do we use water for the rite?

Last week we received a lovely Thank You Letter from Family Promise. Click Here to read the letter. The original may be found on the Members' Bulletin Board
