During his time at CUNY, Dr. Jamell Dacon, Medgar Evers '18, was active both inside and outside the classroom. In addition to getting an associate's degree in computer science and a bachelor's degree in mathematics, he served as president of the Medgar Evers Math Club in 2017 and 2018, led Medgar’s men's indoor and outdoor track-and-field teams as captain from Fall 2015 to Spring 2018 and played drums for his local church. |
Since graduating, he’s earned master’s and doctoral degrees in computer science and philosophy, respectively, and undertaken numerous research projects. He is currently an assistant professor of computer science at Morgan State University in Baltimore.
What's your advice to CUNY students?
