CURIS MONTHLY

This month, one of our owners/ principal consultants, Jen Calohan, conducted an onsite strategic planning update and data strategy development workshop with the team at Community Health Centers of Arkansas!

What's Your Data Strategy?

We encourage every organization to review and/or update the strategic plan annually to ensure its alignment with the dynamic environment of healthcare! It is important to be sure that the strategic plan is well supported by an operational plan that includes data as a central element!

Culture & Strategy ~

The Critical Relationship

Peter Drucker, a management consulting stalwart, has a famous quote that goes, "culture eats strategy for breakfast". At CURIS, we not only preach this quote but practice it as well. We know that without cultivating an organizational culture to uphold the strategy - the efforts will result in only short-term gains at best! Because of this, we take a unique approach to our Strategic Planning services and enjoy working with organizations committed to continuous improvement! Our team has assisted many health centers, PCAs, and HCCNs in the development of strategic and operational planning, data strategy development, and strategic program development... all with the essential emphasis on simultaneously transforming organizational culture!

Workforce Innovation with Shared Services

One of the most pervasive challenges we hear about from our peers, colleagues, and clients across the country is workforce related. Whether it is critical vacancies in staffing, recruiting challenges, or retention and attrition trends…we recognize there is a common and extremely challenging landscape in today’s workforce that requires an innovative approach! Here at CURIS, we have developed a dynamic model to provide healthcare organizations with innovation and flexibility to respond to today’s most challenging workforce constraints!

Our CURIS Connect Care Coordination & Care Management services can be applied directly and add immediate value to a single organization, or perhaps even more efficiently and effectively, to a cohort of organizations in a Shared Service Model.

If your PCA, HCCN, IPA, CIN, MCO, ACO, or any other organization is interested in learning more about our Shared Services model and the corresponding ROI Calculator – please reach out to info@curis-consulting.com for more information!

Data! Data! Data!

Lead Indicators vs. Lag Indicators

As health centers across the country are exhaling after UDS submission season, we at CURIS understand how easy it may be to put planning for next year's UDS submission on the back burner. However, we also want to encourage health center organizations to reimagine their approach to UDS and move toward a focus on lead indicators rather than waiting to respond to lag indicators. Our team has developed UDS Support & Readiness Packages that aim to:

  1. Support health centers in understanding and leveraging their UDS data year-round in the form of lead indicators
  2. Assist with proactive UDS readiness and preparation to limit the number of last-minute reactions to lag indicators
