Halloween Guidance:
As a reminder, the Imperial County Department of Public Health released their guidance for a safe Halloween and Día de los Muertos during COVID-19. Click here to review the guidance included in our newsletter.

Reopening Update:
We have now completed ten weeks of virtual distance learning and we are so thankful to our staff, our students and our parents for rising to the challenge and doing amazing work, despite the difficulties we are still facing through the COVID-19 pandemic.

As we previously shared with you, we continue to monitor the latest information closely and work with our local health agencies and our partners to ensure that we are doing what is in the best public health interest of the entire community.

As of today, we are still in the purple stage, with a COVID-19 positivity rate of 13%. As a reminder, to move to the red stage, one of the metrics is to be under 7% on our COVID-19 positivity rate. Please click on the following link to view the latest positivity rate metric.

After December, we will carefully re-assess our COVID-19 rates, along with our local health agencies and stakeholders, and determine when we can safely transition into a hybrid model.

We will continue to provide educational services via distance learning until it is deemed safe for the school sites to reopen.

Thank you for your continued patience and flexibility.

Take care & stay safe,

Carlos R. Gonzales
