Ready for the weekend Steve?

Time is ticking... the winter solstice has passed, the days are getting longer, and the festive lights of this holiday season will soon be packed up until next year. Soak up every moment of holiday cheer with family and friends. We wish you and yours a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, and a holiday season filled with heartwarming giving and gratitude.

We've got lots of goodness to share today! Read about the new hat shop on Orange Ave, the first CUSD board meeting with new trustees, boys basketball on a winning streak, girls basketball showing sportsmanship and sharing pizza amid losses; learn about pozole, a Mexican stew adapted from the Aztecs, and how the local "Letters to Santa" house is serving both children and the homeless. Links to these articles and more can be found below in today's newsletter.

Our Holiday Happenings page has what's left of the season and our events calendar is always available here. Don't forget, today is the last day to drop off your wrapped and labeled gift for Rotary Santa to deliver on Christmas Eve.
