Dear CV Cyber Academy Families,

Welcome to the last full week of October. It is hard to believe that the first nine weeks will be ending on October 26. All elementary families must have their courses completed by the end of the day on the 26th. Please remember there are no extensions. For elementary families. grades will be emailed to you through the Genius system. Grades will also be entered into Infinite Campus no later than November 4. Elementary families may see the new courses appearing on the Genius platform already. Please note that you will not be able to access these courses until October 27, the first day of the second nine weeks. The current workbooks will be used for the second nine weeks also.

As a reminder, secondary students do not receive grades at the nine-week mark. Secondary students will only receive grades at the end of each semester.

I wanted to share that I will be unavailable starting this Thursday, October 27, through October 31. During this time, I will not have access to emails or phone calls. If you need immediate assistance, please reach out to your child's building principal. I will return all emails and phone calls upon my return on November 1. Due to this, there will not be a Monday Memo next week.

Attention Elementary Families -  How can your family be safe online? By knowing how!  You and your family are invited to join a Family Cyber Safety Night sponsored by CSisElementary. This program is designed for families with students in K-5 grade. This program will be a one-hour-long Livestream event full of fun family activities! Families will learn about phishing, encryption, passwords, and personally identifiable information (PII). In addition, every participating family will create their own family cyber safety plan with cyber.org. This event will be held on Tuesday, October 25 at 6:00 PM. You can register for the Livestream event at bit.ly/CyberFamily22.
