Our days are getting warmer and the sun is out, so our kids are enjoying more time outside. We are excited to announce, Children's Village Renton has two new staff members.

We are thrilled to have Olivia Bentley join our team as a new Assistant Teacher. Olivia and her husband recently moved to Washington from Texas. She has a heart to serve and a natural ability to connect with children.

We are also happy to have Mira Onishchenko as our new cook. Mira has been cooking since she was a child and has a passion for nutrition in her personal life and she brings that passion to the workplace. She has the desire and the know how to serve healthy and fresh meals to our children. Mira recently graduated with a degree in Food and Nutritional Sciences from Seattle Pacific University. Please give your warmest welcome to Olivia and Mira.

Please be looking for new immunization forms that will be sent to you this month. Additionally, we are looking forward to offering Vacation Bible School (VBS ) this summer. Your kids will enjoy fun, educational activities and field trips while learning more about Jesus and His love. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks.

Infant Class
In the month of May we are learning about flowers, and focus on the color red. Our art activities include red paint, paper and glitter. As the weather permits, we are playing outside and taking walks. Please remember to provide sunscreen for your child.

As you enter the infant room, please wash your hands and wear the shoe covers provided outside by the classroom. We are trying to eliminate the spread of germs. No bare feet or shoes .

May is off to a great start for the Waddler class! All of the children have been adapting well to our new classroom structure and environment.

In honor of Mother's Day, we will be incorporating baby animals and their moms into our lesson plans. In addition, we will be making some surprise Mother's Day crafts, to show just how important our super star moms are.

Reminder: The sun is coming out and we want to make sure your little ones don't get burnt. Please send in some sunscreen for outside time.
