Learn how to crochet beautiful jewelry using beads, fiber yarns, thread and wire. Make special pieces for yourself or to give as gifts. Previous experience with crocheting is advised for this class. Type of Practice: Specialty Practice specializing in Infant/Toddler Frenectomies

Brief Job description: Looking for a local confident, reliable and personable part-time medical assistant to support Doctor with infant & toddler laser tongue tie procedures. Other responsibilities include: general office and room organization, treatment room set-up and break-down, thoughtful communication with patient parents in person and via email, and documentation clinical note records. Must be open to/comfortable working with children, detail oriented in tasks and writing skills, focused and friendly.

Days/Hours: 3 Days a week (20-30 hours a week)

Qualifications: Medical Assistant background recommended, but not required.

Full-time Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist Position with a Family Practice/Internal Medicine, Outpatient office in Simi Valley

Essential Functions:

·    Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients. Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.

·    Obtains vital signs. Reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician.

·    Performs venipunctures as ordered.

·    Performs audiometry and vision testing.

·    Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education:

·      High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred

Required licenses/certifications:

·      Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification: Required

·      Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP within six months of hire: Preferred

·      Phlebotomy certificate: Preferred

·      Refer to the Required Licenses and Certifications list for additional job and/or unit specific requirements.

·      Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent combination of licensure and experience: Preferred

Job description:

This job is unique as it combines Medical Front Office Receptionist duties with retail skin care product sales. This position is responsible for greeting patients with a warm and friendly attitude, checking patients in and out of the office using our Nextech scheduling software and collecting co-pays & balances. This position is also responsible for answering and managing busy phones, scheduling medical, cosmetic and aesthetician appointments, selling skin care products, managing company email accounts and managing patient texting communication platforms. Strong computer skills are required. A basic understanding of Botox, fillers and cosmetic procedures is helpful, but not required.

 

Pay: Hourly pay depends on experience (range $16.00 - $18.00)

 

Days/Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:15am-5:00pm (and occasional Fridays 9:00am-1:00pm)

Qualifications: This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Prefer a minimum of 1-year administrative office experience and successfully completing the CVAE Medical Office Assistant program.

Candidate should be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment, have a warm, friendly personality and a proven track record of providing outstanding customer service as well as strong communication & conflict resolution skills. 

Spanish speaker a plus but not required.
